Waterproof the floor using ARDEX 8+9 or S 1 K, Casco AquaStop or Sika Sikalastic 201W waterproofing compound following the manufacturer's instructions.
The base surface can be concrete or walling block, or a construction board suitable for wet rooms. The base must be dry, level and free of any dust before the waterproofing can be started. All materials that may interfere with the adhesion must be removed. Smooth out any uneven surfaces. Non-porous surfaces must be roughened, cement paste and other loose materials must be removed, and the surfaces must be cleaned carefully. The minimum working temperature is +15°C. Floor heating must be turned off two days before the work is started. The relative humidity of the room must be below the threshold specified for the waterproofing compound and should be checked before starting work.
